Terminations
07/13/2010 11:54 AMReply

In order to find termination dates, I was directed to the QBTermination table - I use the group ID to find effective date, which I assume (please confirm) is the termination date.

What I'm finding is that for some of our QBs this date is 12/31/9999 - the termination date from their main record in the WebCobra interface isn't anywhere that I can find.

The other issue is that there may be multiple records in the termination table for a QB Group ID. This may be because there are records for different coverages - dental medical etc., but that begs the question - How do I know which is which?

And what if they are only terminated from one coverage? Their group status ID will still be 4 - enrolled.

I would greatly appreciate some insight here.

Thanks David

Hello David

Yes, the Effective Date is the date of the QB Termination.

I looked at your QBTermination table and did not see any records with a date of 12/31/9999. Are you seeing this in the interface? If so where?

The QBTermination table stores a record each time a QB terminates.

EX: QB is added to WebCOBRA and terminates for Non-Commencement. A record of that term will be stored in the QBTermination table.

QB is reinstated and enrolls in COBRA, but does not pay for their second month of COBRA. The QB terminates for Non-Payment. Another record of the term for non-payment will be stored in the QBTermination table.

If you are looking to see when a plan terminates for a QB you would have to look at the QBBenefitAssignments table
