Access Data Loader
12/20/2007 03:38 PMReply

I'm getting the following error message while I'm trying to load Access Data Loader:

We could not connect to the Access Database. Actual Error: The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.

How do I customize the field info for the load window?

Judy ---

Most of the time we see this on the ClientEmployer and the BenefitPlan tables; most likely you have a Company or Plan that has a long (greater than 50 characters) name.

You can follow these instructions to extend those Access tables length.

1 - Open the WebCOBRA_Reporting_S ystem.MDB file in Microsoft Access
2 - Right click on the ClientEmployers table and select Design View
3 - Select the Name field
4 - In the General tab below, change the Field Size from 50 to 254
5 - Press save
6 - Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the BenefitPlans table
7 - Run the WebAPI_Loader

You should be set!
